Freelance Musician Advice

The past month, as we all know, has been a real shock to the system for most freelance musicians. The anxiety that we have felt has been compounded by the delay in assistance from the U.K. government. Below, Music In Vision has put together a short list of resources for our valued database members, that relates to advice regarding financial assistance during the current COVID crisis.

The Musicians’ Union has a number of online seminars running over the following weeks, covering topics such as finance and collaborating online, available here.

Help Musicians UK has a financial hardship fund of £500 per person available, plus lots of general information available on the crisis.

The Arts Council England has announced an emergency support package.

Stand Together Music is a resourceful organisation offering opportunities for musicians to have their music heard throughout this challenging period. They have lots of information available here.
