THE BRIEF

Fittingly, The Great is a big production and our responsibilities equally ranging.

The production team needed musicians and singers, period instrument expertise and on-set supervision for this epic drama.

THE RESULT

Kathleen ensured that the musicians were able to provide their own period-appropriate instruments - including balalaika players. She supervised miming from the musicians and syncing with playback on set, and when musicians played live on set, arranging Musicians’ Union rates. With the Russian dialect running throughout the series, we sourced a specialist vocal coach for the extras, and discreetly coached some of the main actors.

The production team are delighted, particularly the music supervision team, who are based in LA, noting how important it is to have expertise ‘on the ground’ when needed.
